چکیده
Aim and Objective : The aim of the present study was to assess effectiveness virtual reality distraction on pain perception undergoing endodontic procedures. Methodology:This randomised clinical trial has been written according Preferred Reporting Items for Randomized Trials in Endodontics (PRIRATE) 2020 guidelines. An interventional 40patients age group between 18-45 years used study. intervention with eyeglasses. Participants were divided into two treatmentgroups: (a) without VR condition or (b) condition. Blood pressure (BP) pulse rate (PR) measured. Patients questioned about their discomfort and/or by using a visual analogue scale.Level measured Visual Analog Scale (VAS). gave ratings 0-10 scales cut points scale indicating that (0) none, (1-3) mild, (4-6) moderate (7-10) severe. asked regarding treatment modalities they preferred. Result: Data analysed SPSS® software. Paired t tests revealed VAS scores significantly (P < .005) lower during compared test average, participants experienced systolic BP after (M = 110.72, SE 2.16) than VR. reported preferred Conclusion: results this suggest use immersive may be an effective method control

Virtual reality immersion method of distraction to control experimental ischemic pain.
BACKGROUND Virtual reality immersion has been advocated as a new effective adjunct to drugs for pain control. The attenuation of pain perception and unpleasantness has been attributed to the patient's attention being diverted from the real, external environment through immersion in a virtual environment transmitted by an interactive 3-D software computer program via a VR helmet. OBJECTIVES To...

متن کاملVirtual Reality as a Distraction Technique in Chronic Pain Patients
We explored the use of virtual reality distraction techniques for use as adjunctive therapy to treat chronic pain. Virtual environments were specifically created to provide pleasant and engaging experiences where patients navigated on their own through rich and varied simulated worlds. Real-time physiological monitoring was used as a guide to determine the effectiveness and sustainability of th...
متن کاملEfficacy of virtual reality exposure therapy for treatment of dental phobia: a randomized control trial
BACKGROUND Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy (VRET) is found to be a promising and a viable alternative for in vivo exposure in the treatment of specific phobias. However, its usefulness for treating dental phobia is unexplored. The aims of the present study are to determine: (a) the efficacy of VRET versus informational pamphlet (IP) control group in terms of dental trait and state anxiety redu...
